She approached him, or did he approach her? It didn’t much matter since the admiration was as mutual as the attraction. She thought the mask made him look mysterious and he thought the mask made him feel safe.
They wanted to be friends and centuries later she would admit to him that his expression on that day when she arrived, had said more than just “let’s be friends.”
He misunderstood her as having said something along the lines of “lusty friends.”
